Gaye Hight was born in Chicago IL. Being the youngest child at an early age she relocated in Hawaii with her mother. Always writing poetry to keep her occupied. Poetry was a form of release and comfort for her and she realized it was a tool to motivate her future as well as others. In a trying stage of life, living spiritual has made a huge impact on her life and it made room for her gift in hopes of motivating others. Expressions and personal experience has a great impact on her work. She has the ability & willingness to create custom & personalized poetry for every occasion imaginable. Living in Spokane, WA. Being apart of Jesus Is The Answer Apostolic Church has changed her life, now sharing her testimony to women in the correctional facilities. A place where God has brought her out of, telling women that God can change their lives because she is a living example. God used her trials and triumphs through poetry to minister to other women. Creating poetry for events, and special occasions has allowed her to really enjoy and meet the customers on a personal level. She was giving the opportunity to meet and create a personalize poem for a few celebrities such as Evangelist Denise Matthews formally known as “ Vanity” & “ Alvin Slaughter” A gospel artist who features on TBN. Gaye has also created and presented a unique custom 911 framed poem to President W. Bush to be displayed in The White House. A vision of opening up a Poetry Gift Shoppe has Gaye motivated to press her way through what ever she has to go through. Bringing comfort to the community and the nation as poet’s and artist’s gather together for entertainment and networking. Pursuing others to join the team by expressing their gift of poetry. Knowing that her poetry are on the walls of people homes is truly a blessing. She can say her work wasn’t in vain. It is now a reality, a motivational piece in your heart or on your wall. Placing my poetry in the libraries of prisons around the nation is something I would like to do. The women at the Pre-Release Center in Spokane, WA has been blessed by this book.
